Is that a S&W factory gun or was the work performed by a gunsmith? I have seen several different PPC conversions based on the old S&W model 10. None f them had the slab sided barrel and screw in weight. S&W needs to drop the lock or move it to an inconspicuous location...

Sounds like it is something from the S&W Performance Center. I'm sure it's low production if it is a production item.
