i have a dan wesson rz10 sportsman that i am trying to install a kimber 22 conversion on.the ejector is causing the slide to not slide on very easy and i can't seem to get the slide top pin to install properly.this is my first 1911 so bear with me.any help would be apprciated.thanks, marty
ok, i'm guessing that you meant slide stop instead of slide top pin. without having it in my hands and actually looking at it i can't answer that although it might be related to the ejector problem.
regarding the ejector, i think that most 22 conversions are made to function on a frame with a 45 ejector without regard for other ejector sizes. it seems to me that you can get a gunsmith to slightly mill the inside of the slide so that it will clear the ejector. take the frame and slide to a gunsmith that has milling experience and i think he'll cure that problem and i'll bet that it will cure your slide stop problem at the same time.
