PM 1S
Scary accurate, and I think a pretty early model, most of the ones I see have a dovetailed front sight, this one accepts the DW interchangeable front sights.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

More “1911 Love” is always good. When you consider that the design and development of the 1911 occurred over a century ago, you know that John Moses Browning was a genius. I am hard pressed to find many functional devices that have survived a century of development and still retain the original structure and functionality of the original like the 1911. Sorry, I lost control for a minute, I'm under control again.

BTW-If you want to edit in my new Pointman photo, that would be great, I can't do it. That old photo scares even me with how crappy it looks.

I have to agree with you there, Steve. Any mechanical thing that can last a hundred years on the same basic design & still be considered "cutting edge" , absolutely should earn respect.
I admit, the more I read up on people's comments regarding these DW 1911's, the more I like. I fully expect to cave in & buy one in the not so distant future.
Ok, so you guys haven't answered my question in my previous post...

I can not swear to it but I am confident you are correct. All CZ era guns have CZ on the SN and prior Guns do not.
Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Nice looking PM2 that might go the distance at a decent price because it's blue and not stainless

Here's a couple of other I found for a really good price. Steve you might be able to tell us more on this...
Dan Wesson Pointman .45ACP 1911 Pistol for $549
Dan Wesson Pointman Major Target 1911 .45acp for $599
Seems like really good prices to me. I think these are early guns and I have ready they were working out bugs early on but might be worth a look to get a 1911 DW for under $600.

Either one is a good deal. The PM Major is probably the blue version of my PM1-S. A Major is a 1 Model number, minors are a 2 Model number. My PM 1-S has a Jarvis Match Grade barrel, and DW 1911's generally are built with lot's of Ed Brown parts.
I'd buy the Major at $599 in a heartbeat.

Two digit serial number, that's kinda cool right there. So far it's at $505, with a week to go.
Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I overlooked this thread in the "recently posted" updates.
Ok, so now I know what I'm looking for. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open when I've got some more play money. I think I'll probably try for a .45, since the ammo is plentiful & has a bigger punch than a 9mm.
Here's another two digit serial number, not as cheap, though.

My DWAS was partially pacified today with the arrival of my latest Dan Wesson product - a 2007 CBOB in 10mm with "extras". Test cartridge included in an envelope dated 1/19/2007.
Four Extra Wilson Combat mags to go with the two factory mags:
Seller was a great guy and threw in a sweet Ozark Mountain Gun Leather holster:
I love the "custom shop" touches on the DW's:
But this is the best part:
75 yds, free hand, rapid fire with both eyes closed...OK, it was really 7 yds...

Wow, I didn't get to see that one yet Dusty. She's beautiful.
It looks like the factory is taking care of those nice little upgrades and tweaks you get to pay for with other pistol brands, such as a nicely polished feed ramp.
You better not allow me to shoot that one since I finally decided to abandon auto-loaders….Well, I would have to shoot it if you ever offer- I wouldn't want to be rude. LOL
