dudleyd, that is a beautiful gun! I have a CBOB and love it and the Marksmen is the next DW 1911 I would like to have. I'm certainly glad they did not put those FCS on the slide!
Please give us a range report on this one!

Another 1911 guy
I have a PM1-S, gets boring just punching out the bullseye! I handled the Marksman the other day, and every bit of it seemed perfect. The World is starting to catch on to DW 1911's, and prices are climbing accordingly. I think they're worth the asking prices, but the used market on them has disappeared locally. I could have had a used CBOB pre-election for $750 and waited too long.

Here's a photo I took of my new 2009 CBOB. It shoots 2 - 2.5 " groups at 25 yards. I added Sarge's beautiful grips, a checkered mainspring housing, and a Wilson Combat Ambi-Safety.

Here's my 1911
OK, OK, I know it's not a DW, but I really love the 10mm cartridge, and with the pics of your Dan's, it's made me start trying to locate one to add to my collection. I've always liked the DW, and they are well-built guns, but until now, they were always on the back burner. Of course, a 10mm is my first choice, then a .45 ACP.
