I'm a DW owner but only revo's as yet, but hope to soon change that problem. My problem is no one has posted what model they posted picture of that I saw, I don't know a Pointman from a Razorback.

For me 1911s came before revolvers. My first DW was a CCO, for an all purpose type platform I dont think you can beat one of these.[Image Can Not Be Found]
" alt="" />The factory grips look better but rubber works better in cold weather.I liked the CCO so much that I just had to get one of these..[Image Can Not Be Found]

Beautiful 1911. The other side of the slide may be inscribed with "Major", indicating that it was set up from the factory for IDPA Major competition. Looks like yours may be able to accept DW revolver interchangeable front sights?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The Major side. Even the magazine is marked Major.

Adam, I'm with you, I think the 1911 is the modern classic fighting pistol. My PM-1S is posted elsewhere in this topic, but this is the stainless version of Waldo's PM-1B
" alt="" width="641" height="354" />Mine is probably an earlier manufacture date than Waldo's, it will accept the DW interchangeable front sights. This is without a doubt the most accurate centerfire pistol I own, it is assembled and fitted like a fine Swiss watch, and "locks up like a bank vault".
When you can find a PM-1S or B, buy it.

Saw a guy with a Colt at the range yesterday, he was kind of bragging about the great Colt Custom Shop, then he looked my RZ over and quit bragging. Thought he was going to choke after trying the trigger on the RZ, he handed it back w/o saying a word other then he liked the sights and for sure the green FO up front.
I brought home two targets and will take picture tomorrow and post, one a paper plate shot from 25 yards, one a small silhouette that I'll have to check but I'll guess is 6"x9" that I shot rapid fire–15 seconds– average I would say.
After that the guy left and I plinked a few minutes more just burning ammo, breaking the RZ in proper.
This was when I had three magazines fail to feed on last round, two DW and one Colt magazines. These were my last 21 rounds of 165gr Magtec JHP over 10gr Blue Dot that was left over from last spring that had not been very accurate in my G-20 compared to #9 powder with same bullet that was accurate. Not sure how that works, because BD was real good in 180gr loaded.
Any way each time gun cleared and round reinstalled in magazine and slide-stop was released and round chambered and fired. This happened on all three magazines, all loaded with 8 rpounds. One magazine had 3 factory Remington 180gr J/TC rounds to fill out the 8 needed and I don't remember if they went in first to the bottom or last to be on top.
The only pistol I ever had this happen with was a Ruger 22/45, and it would not even pick up the round at all and just stayed in magazine and then would chamber when bolt worked by hand, it did it on all 5 magazines, 3 brands of ammo. Put 9 rounds in instead of 10 and it would feed and fire all 9 rounds. Sold it because accuracy better with 22A I had and it was bone stoke unlike the Ruger.
