I have a '19 Bruin and haven't had any issues, but I only have shot it a few times. It tames the 10mm cartridge nicely with the extra barrel length/weight. The Kodiak has a rail and bushingless bull barrel bull barrel so it has a little more front heft (3oz.) than the Bruin. It also has an ambi safety and is sans the front cocking serrations that the Bruin has. I really haven't read any complaints or heard of issues inherent in the two models on all the other 1911 forums I frequent.

Man thank you for the input I really appreciate it. I sure love the tri-color of the Kodiak. I think that helps make my decision easier to pull the trigger, so to speak. Thanks again brother and have a Merry Christmas
