I recently purchased a DW Cbob. When I took it to the range to shoot it, I noticed that about 30% of the time when the gun cycled, the hammer was following the slide and not staying cocked. I sent a message to DW and they said that the problem was the overtravel screw in the trigger needs to be adjusted. The gun is no longer in warranty as it was purchased used. Now, I have always liked the videki style triggers for 1911's. My question is as follows. Would I be able to fix the problem that I'm having by having a trigger installed that does not have the overtravel screw? Is there a down side to not having the adjustable trigger?

One man's (fairly uneducated) opinion:
1) I'm not sure why a properly fitted and tuned 1911 needs an overtravel adjustment
2) The CBOB is a true Series 70 type 1911, any quality 1911 aftermarket part should work, possibly with some fitting. This can occur with any 1911
3) Have you tried adjusting the overtravel screw?
4) You have a CBOB, you Lucky Dog!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
