Please stop by the New Members area and introduce yourself.
Which mags do you have? Are they marked DW or something else. If these are new mags, did you load them up to full capacity and let them sit a few days? I find that helps 'season' the mag spring and promotes smoother feeding.

^^ What Scorpio said. Also, how many mags do you have? Is it happening with both if more than one? In the past I load the mags unly one less than capacity for several shoots, then full load. If all are brand new DWs, call them ASAP.
If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

Yes the magazines are Dan Wesson and came new with the pistol. I have begun to keep them loaded at all times and they appear to be loosening up as the double feeds have become less frequent. My pistol is a Guardian and suffers from mulitple ftf events. Infrequent double feeds and the barrel frequently doesn't return to the battery position, that final pop up into the slide. I am hopping this is part of the "break in period" the instruction manual refers to. I am shooting 50 or so rounds cleaning and lubing and then repeating the process. Failure to fire events increase into the 3rd and 4th magazines to the point where they occur almost every shot. I am at approx. 500 rounds thru it. I would classify my lube as wet.

Are you using the supplied oil? (which is FP-10) Regular gun oils like Rem oil and Hoppes is way too thin and won't stay where you need it like the heavier viscosity FP-10 and Miltec. The fact that the FTRB events get more frequent as the round count increases sounds like the gun is getting dirty and that is causing problems. What ammo are you using? Perhaps a change to another brand would help? I know a few of my guns are picky as to bullet type and power level. I find that hotter rounds cycle better in my Valor than lower powder loads. DW recommends 500 rounds for proper break in and it sounds like you are getting close. If things don't improve, give DW a call and ask their recommendations. Keep us posted.
