Just found at my LGS, in the back of the case, nearly hidden, a Dan Wesson Pointman Marksman. Seems I am the only Dan Wesson collector who ever hits this store. It is in the original case, two original mags, one is missing the baseplate, spent cartridge in envelope, no paperwork, for $795. It does have carry wear, but does not appear to have been shot much. The right grip panel is quite worn, especially at the bottom edge. There are some marks on the right side of the slide, but I am sure they will buff out. Too busy right now, but I will try to get it to the range this week, and will try to post photos. If anyone has a spare baseplate or an extra set of cocobolo grips they want to sell, pls let me know.

I was not familiar with marksman model, but I have owned a number of Pointman models. When I was the match barrel and adjustable sight, that was all I needed to know.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I nearly bought it myself- I love KTP.

Louisiana? You must be a mail order customer. I am fortunate enough to be a 7 minute drive from KTP. My wife gives me grief when we walk in their and  they say hi to me by name!

Found a number of nice DW there. A few months ago I got a nice like new Monson snubbie with lemon squeezer grips (teardrop grips) I forget what they are called. 1st snubbie dw I have run into.

Sometimes I get really lucky and they have a nice gun they haven't put out yet. I got a like new 1942 Colt us army 1911 in holster there 6 months ago they were just making the tag up for.. Some officers gun, fired and used only to qualify.  Two other local guys independently mentioned the gun to me, I had to break the news to them that it was me who got it.

Lets just say they know me well....  when KTP grades a firearm, it's usually on the conservative side.  I've always been happy with their prices and service.  I'd be broke if I lived across the river from them, like you.
