Hope some of this is useful. Is the Guardian your first 1911?
BTW: I'd sure like to get a .38 Super one day!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

If I may ask, why are you compelled to use a flgr? I have read that many feel it is a non-issue? That reminds me I need another 1911. The Guardian in .38 super would be a fine choice. Then again I don't have a 10 mm yet either. Excuse me while I try to recall some batting averages.

I was looking at a Guardian in 38 Super last night... decided I didn't need another carry in the 1911 platform. That was off topic; I drifted...
I've never run a flgr on any of the DW 1911s in the safe. It's just easier sometimes to leave a well fitted stock pistol- stock.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

While we were in NC last week and visiting some gunshops, the wife asked "don't you want a new gun?"
My answer really came down to, if I can find a .38 Super Auto 1911, YES!
Frankly, otherwise, probably not (and fortunately for the bank account, we found no .38 Supers)
On the FLGR question, my PM1S came from the factory this way, I respect how special this gun is and I won't change it out. A little Lock Tite goes a long way.
