Hello Everyone,
This is my first visit and my first post in this forum. I recently purchased a Dan Wesson Razorback and I know nothing about this gun, it's history or the history of Dan Wesson 1911's. This is also my first 10mm weapon and I just LOVE this gun and this round! How and where can I find out about this Razorback.......and another that I am wanting to buy........
Educate me, please.
Thanks,

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the welcome and comments. I LOVE shooting my Razorback! I was a .45 only kinda guy, with a love for the 1911 style of weapon. Got rid of almost all my plastic guns, well accept my wife's Glock 30.... Then I stumbled upon this Razorback at a really good price and bought it without ever shooting a 10mm or a Dan Wesson anything before. This is now my carry gun, my favorite shooter and the only time it has ever let me down was standing in front of the targets in my CCW class. Operator error, when I cleaned the gun the night before, my bad.
I have stumbled upon another one in a pawn shop, but he is asking almost double what I paid for mine, so I have been trying to research this gun a bit. The gun I found has a 49 of 150 number on the side, several mags, AND a .40 barrel, spring and mag. So I was wondering if that was some kind of package, or just a shooter adding to his love of the Razorback.
Any ideas?
PS,
I'll add some pics once I figure out how......;-)

One of the very best places to get DW 1911 info is:

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Don't have a Razorback "yet" but I do have a GLOCK G20 in 10mm ........VERY fun round to shoot, sounds like a 357mag being fired.........turns heads at the range.
Here's a good place to get target 10mm for the range,
http://www.freedommunitions.com
I've shot thousands of rounds of their 10mm and 40S&W with ZERO trouble

to the and from a fellow member still looking for that perfect Pointman 10MM, I am envious. Great to hear you like the razorback. the 10MM round is great, I have a Glock and Fusion in that caliber and they are superb. Just was shooting the Fusion on Sunday. To VMAx94's point, Freedom Munitions ammo is the best deal going. My son and I use it almost exclusively in our 45's, 9MM and 40 S&W's anymore. their .380 works well also.
Glad you joined us.

Wow, a two year old thread revival.... it's OK though- the 10mm is worth it. Another recent thread mentioned powder shortage. I've been dabbling in Surplus Canister Powders lately. The 10mm likes WC 820- load data is close to AA #9.

I have always been interested in the 10MM. I have considered a Glock and have handled a few over the years trying to convince myself that it actually did feel okay in my hand, but the glock 10MM felt like I was holding on to a 2"x4" so I have never made the purchase. I am glad to have the option of a Dan Wesson in 10MM as this will most likely be the next semi-auto I purchase and I have plenty of time to save.
