I checked the “Models” part of the forum and discovered that I actually have the PM1-S, all along I thought it was just a kind of strangely modified PM-7. The grips were a Father's Day gift from my son, otherwise it's a stock PM1-S, and deadly accurate.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yours should have "PM-1S" above the slide stop. I have a blued PM-1B and it has performed wonderfully since I stumbled on to it in a pawn shop a few years ago.
I just recently purchased a new DW PM9 9mm

Mine says "Major" above the slide stop. It also accepts the Dan Wesson interchangeable front sights that I use on my revolvers. My rear sight has a white outline, and the white insert front sight off my DW revolver seems to work great in combination. I am having a problem with non DW magazines not inserting easily. As I look into the magazine well it looks like one of the bows of the trigger is bent and protruding slightly into the path of magazines. I am thinking of changing out the trigger for the STI trigger with the interchangeable trigger shoe. My son has one and he says they're great, and being a DW guy, I'm all about interchangeability.
