lbruce - interesting on the blem guns, I appreciate the info.
The pointman series are all internal fitted extractors aren't they?
CZ Vs DW(Norwich): same people, same shop & know how. I love my CZ / DW CBOB...not sure I would give preference to a pre CZ Norwich over a CZ era gun.
And like y'all I checked the website and definately think this is for a new DW pistol.
I am very tempted to go for the minor at $549 - I would prefer the fixed sites on this gun and would also upgrade to tritium or FO.

Isn't it report time yet? Helllooo Mars?
About the CZ vs. DW thing, I agree that it's really just a moot point. I guess having a pre CZ gun sorta feels a little more original to me in a way...probably makes absolutely no difference though, on a value or collectibility standpoint, though. Just me making mountains outta mole hills, I'm sure.

You guys are going to be the end of me. Ha...I haven't called them up yet, for the same reasons. I don't know if I can afford the hit to the pocket book that I'm sure would be coming if they actually had these in stock.
They don't list a phone number anywhere on the site...kind of odd. Doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies about their customer service. I dropped them an email though, and I'll be sure to post up what their response is.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Maybe a derelict website, floating along on the Internet, prepaid for years. New, out of production guns at prices too good to be true. I hope it's the real deal
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well, I got an email back from the Florida Gun works guys:
Hello,
Unfortunately we are sold out on that product at this time.
If you'd like, please email us at a later date to inquire whether or not we are able to get them in for you.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, you pretty much called it back on post #5..."seems too good to be true". I imagine that if they do end up reordering & restocking their supply, there will be a bit of a price increase.
It was good to check out though, because you never know when a smokin' deal like this will actually pan out.

I'm having trouble getting to the CZ/DW website at the moment, but I don't believe those are current models, I don't know how FGW will get them in stock. Good chance that was just an old, forgotten page on FGW. It doesn't seem possible that those 1911's would have survived the recent buying frenzy for anything that goes bang. I think they are models not in production recently.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

It's possibly a company that is really out of business. I think that if they wanted your business they would have taken a more positive approach by offering something else, or to try to get the gun(s) for you.
The "check back in a couple of months" sounds like a "don't bother me" line to me.
