Hello All! I was looking for a 1911 (my first) and ran across a CZ Pointman 7 .45 with 5 magazines for $700. There's been about 2K rounds through it and its in nice shape, not perfect, but a nice shooter. $700 seems fair based on what I've seen but it's a bit harder than trying to check the market on a glock. Is it a good buy at $700? Thanks!

You got a really, really nice deal (and Welcome to DWF).
I have a Pointman 1-S that is so much more accurate than I am, it's a little intimidating to shoot sometimes.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Bad news. I took it out this weekend and it'll be staying with me for a long time. I liked it a lot. I mean, it looked nice and it felt good when I was handling it, but I've learned that doesn't always tell you much. Shooting it though was very nice. I haven't invested much time in being really profecient as a shooter, but this gun changes things. I think I'll like it even more and I work on being more accurate.
And those coco-bolo grips are sweet.

That's about what I thought you'd say... ...
