Thinking real serious about this project, but not sure I want to invest the $500 required when considering dies and additional equipment for the Dillon 550B, cases and bullets.
Then there is the rarity of the PM-1b to consider as it would probably sell fast and in $800 to $1000 ballpark since it is basically new gun with box and papers.
What you think?

Well I don't reload for 45ACP, just 357,44 & 10mm so it would be $500 plus new gun. I already have a new RZ 10mm on the way, so I don't want to spend the extra dollars that way.
The gun is just so pretty, with drop dead 2.5# to 3# triger, almost no trigger take up, and no creap or over travel, and it tempts me to keep even as is even though I got it to trade or sell.

Honestly Waldo, I doubt you would recoup your investment on such a venture, mainly because the 460 Rowland in an auto gun is more or less a wildcat round. Currently. If your DW PM-1B is as clean as you say, I'd probably leave it alone & sell it on it's pedigree.
I would play around with a 460 Rowland conversion with something like a Taurus or one of the many other current 1911 offerings being pushed today.
But that's just me…
