I got my Pointman 9 I took it home cleaned it up thoroughly oiled it with Miltec-1 took it to the gun range to break it in. Ran one clip through it with Remington UMC 124gr. loaded the second clip in and the third round the slide came back and seized. Took it into the gunsmith and he disassembled it and cleaned it all up, oiled it up again and made sure everything was working. Worked the slide for five or 10 minutes to make sure everything was okay. Loaded in another clip and the third round slide came back and seized again. Took it back into the gunsmith put it back in the box, typed up a report and sent it back to Dan Wesson.
Has anybody ever had a problem like this with one of their 1911.

Welcome to DWF!
To clarify, the PM9 is a magazine fed firearm, the "clip" is a different item

A pretty widely observed practice is to grease sliding parts and lubricate rotating parts
I always run any autoloader very heavily lubricated until completely broken in, then clean and lubricate as needed.
In any case, DW will always stand behind their guns and make them right.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My Bad yes magazine not clip and thank you for the wikipedia link.
It was very well oiled with Miltec-1, I went with what the owners manual stated to use. This is not my first 1911 and have broken in many auto's.
I know DW will always stand behind their guns and make them right.

Over the years, on many Forums, I have seen people with DW 1911 binding issues. It seems like they make them pretty tight, in their quest for being the leader in "Factory Custom".
I'm sure they will make it right.

Sorry to hear that PM 9 isn't running reliably. I haven't run across that issue with any of my PMs (45, 10, 9). As Steve stated, I grease the rails rather than oil, using Brian Enos' Slide Glide. But you shouldn't go wrong following the OEM instructions. Keep us up to date on the progress of your return.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

My wife's PM-9 has had a problem since the beginning. When ejecting the fired cartridge it didn't pull the cartridge all the way out of the barrel before trying to load the next round requiring the uncomfortable thumb down the breach to release the magazine and clear the jam.
I sent it back to Keith at DW and just got it back. Going to the range soon.
Keith is a good guy and will make sure your gun is right.
