I've had good luck with Checkmate, Metalform and Chip McCormick mags. I think Checkmate and Metalform make the factory mags for DW. Try a few to see what your gun likes best. I also 'season' my new mags by loading them full and letting them sit for a week or so to condition the spring.

Got a model ?
This is a Pointman Commander, which is considered to be a standard, full size 1911 for magazine and grip purposes, as well as most of the internals. It is shorter in slide and barrel length than full size.
I use Chip McCormick magazines (in addition to factory original) in my 1911's, including my Springfield Light Weight Commander, with no issues.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
