I recently installed a Crimson Trace LG401 lasergrip on my Dan Wesson PM7-45. Finally got it to the range. The results were nothing short of astonishing. Never have I produced such tight and accurate groups. This is a thoroughly effective accessory for the PM7, and really allows the shooter to take advantage of the PM7's competition barrel and overall stellar accuracy. I have only had the PM7 a short time, and it has performed flawlessly through its first 400 rounds. No break in period needed.
One cool thing about having a laser: first I made sure that the laser was aligned so that the rounds hit where the dot was pointed. Then, you can adjust your sights so that the laser is centered in the sight picture. Thus you can use the laser to align your sight. Very cool!
The Crimson Trace grips are attractive and ergonomic. The activation switch is at the front of the grip, and is completely intuitive. Squeeze the grip, and there is your laser dot. The grip itself is attractive walnut and looks terrific on this superb pistol.

The PM7-45 is a perfect firearm excepting for the front sight, which is dead black. I found it very difficult to shoot with at the range. My local gunsmith has a different front sight; one with a white dot, on order from CZ. Of course the laser pretty much solves this problem too, and I have to say that I was thrilled with the accuracy of the PM7 when used in conjunction with a laser sighting system. The Crimson Trace laser with the PM7 is very ergonomic and natural, and I think that I will always shoot with it.
The PM7 required no break-in period whatever. It fired reliably the very first time, and after 400 rounds it has never once hiccupped. I have used the stock DW magazines, Wilson magazines, Chip McCormick magazines (my favorites) GI-issue magazines, and old Colt magazines. All have worked flawlessly with the PM7 shooting the cheapest ammunition that I could find. Dan Wesson really makes a nice gun that is worthy of your trust and reliance right out of the box. None of this nonsense "break in" stuff that Les Baer and Kimber throw at you. Of course I carefully cleaned and lubed it before taking it to the range, but I do that every time with all of my guns always, so nothing special there.
