How do you all do? As of December I bought a DW 15VH2 and couldn't be happier with it and as of recently I went and bought myself a RIA 1911. Now it's time for me to move to the next level and buy a Dan Wesson (full size, so no CBOB's for me) in 10mm. I've done some research on them but no one seems to really be able to tell me what the differences are. From I've gathered thus far RZ's are forged while PM7's are cast, RZ's are supposed to be built to a higher spec than PM7's (so long as they're not pre-CZ since they didn't use ramped barrels). And of course there's the aesthetic but that's not a concern of mine. I'm looking to carry so I want quality and if it's true that the RZ-10 is a higher standard 10mm than the PM-7 if somone could tell me the key differences I'd be greatly appreciative. Thank you guys.

Well I called up CZ and apparently the only difference between the two is the aesthetic. All internal mechanisms are the same, both frames are cast while both slides are forged. The rest can be looked up on site itself. But guys thank you for the welcome and I must sayy second pistol was that 15-2 and man-oh-man that gun makes me look good at the range.

I just purchased a PM 7 in 10MM. I too was wondering the differences and found that both the RZ and PM7 to be similar in parts and quality. I do like my adjustable sights and find this pistol to be of outstanding quality. I have only fired about 100 rnds and look forward to thousands more.

Welcome to DWF, nice to have an new 1911 guy. A PM7 in 10mm sounds like a real winner.
When you have a chance, please visit New Members so we can learn more about you, and please be aware that the "price of admission" at DWF is low, but inviolate:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
