After being so blown away by my CBOB, I decided to get a Valor to keep it company. Didn't care much for the slim micarta grips, so I tracked down some older medallion grips for it:

MUCH nicer!
I've been looking at all the nice custom grips available for my CBOB, but I always wanted some checkered rosewood grips for a stainless 1911... so I'm keeping what I've got. Now I have to get another 1911 so I can put some custom grips on it.

Jeff- I like your style, getting another 1911 to go with grips you haven't bought yet. That almost brings a tear to my eye, and I'd try it myself if it didn't mean divorce. Happy Holidays!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

TO Confirm: Does acronym CBOB mean the DW Commander? If so I have one (not broken in yet) and enjoy it like a few CZ's I have.
I sure wish DW would come out with a carry pistol, meaning a 3" to 3.5"
(a true carry pistol), there is talk about this at the factory.
I am having trouble logging in to become a member of this Forum, can someone assist?

Yes, CBOB is the Commander Bob Tail. What kind of problem are you having registering as a member? There are times that posting to and access on the site seem to run slowly, and nothing seems to happen for a minute or two. Please try again, and post for the Admin if your problems continue.
