I am in NJ and have a relatively brief window on my pistol permit - I am looking for a 10mm 1911 and Dan Wesson is my favorite gunmaker (thanks all here who helped me get my pistol pack - it did not disappoint).
I want a black or blue finish and it looks like the valor is my top pick. I have seen a couple used ones or new old stock - looks like the new version with mag well a k cut out trigger isn’t out yet. Anyone know when to expect it? Any tips on a 10mm Black Valor? Should I just go for the older model?

With limited time, your best bet is either a new Razorback or a new Specialist in 10mm. There is an online site where you can purchase and have a gun shipped to your FFL. I don't know if it's allowed to mention here, but it goes by the initials GB.
Right now there is a Dan Wesson Silverback in 10mm. As the other poster mentions, Valors in 10mm are rare. I'm not even sure there were any 10mm first gen, as in first out on the market, Valors. I have one in 45ACP (2008), purchase when they first came out. I also was able to order a 10mm Valor through my FFL in 2018, but I doubt there are any out there except on the used market and they are rare there.
