What's so special about pre CZ DW? Just that they were not owned by CZ or were they better quality guns?
I only have direct knowledge on my pre-CZ, which is an outstanding gun. DW/CZ has been building 1911's for a number of years now, and their value in the resale marketplace has skyrocketed, I'm guessing there is a lot of merit in the CZ DW's.
Maybe this is a replay of the whole Monson/Palmer nonsense with revolvers, rather than based on real differences?
At any rate, if I was willing to sell my DW 1911, it would have to be for an outrageous (insulting?) asking price. And if I did sell it, my son would never speak to me again!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I figured out how to PM you, but can't figure out how to open the old ones that are there. So just answer the PM here if you would while I go take something for splitting headache from 3 days at home with two grandsons 3 & 6 that are hell raisers. My ears are ringing worse then after a day at the range.
