We took a direct hit yesterday from an EF 0-1 Tornado yesterday.    Damage was light, but wide spread in my area of Garland Texas.   Biggest challenge will be my workshop shed was picked up off its foundation and moves against neighbors fence.....(Moved about 4-6 feet).   How do I move a 12x16x12ft shed?

Got power back on last night, but Hornsdy Electronic Safes did not power on.   Have manual keys, but found it odd.   I will call Hornady today.

I am trying to get an outfit that brings pre-built buildings to your site, to come and move a 16' x 33' shed for me. They use a pretty sophisticated moving apparatus.. if I can get them hired, I will get Pictures!

Oh!! And Cost!!!

Yikes! Glad the damage wasn't worse for you guys. Will your insurance help cover that? We have a couple different family members living near Dallas, one of which lost a bunch of shingles, but thankfully that was the extent of it.

Wow seems all of Texas is in the bullseye! Glad it was no worse. AZ is hot as hell but one thing we don't have is our Tornado's, Earthquakes and Hurricanes. I hope you have a basement or a Tornado proof room. Keep safe hope no more comes your way but looking at the forecast looks like some more bad weather is possible there!

Sorry to hear about all the damage to your property. Glad to hear that you and your loved ones are safe!

To answer your question about moving a shed, use rollers. I friend of mine had to move a shed (I forget the size, but it was not small!). They were able to get under it and lift it up with house jacks (or a train jack I forget), then put logs under the shed. Once it was up on the logs they rolled it from one side of the property to the other. Just a few country boys to get it done. Good luck!

Glad everyone is okay!

Hopefully your insurance company will be there to help you though this.
