Email today with Dan Wesson. We can still buy parts in inventory and warranty and maintenance will be honored. No new revolvers will be produced. Check the CZ/Dan Wesson website and write for confirmation. It appears unlikely that there will be a public announcement.
I could not find a thread on this topic on the DW Forum

A thread was started....https://www.danwessonforum.com/forum/general-messages/dw-715-discontinued/
but yeah I confirmed with Bob at DW a few weeks ago that they’re being discontinued. Sucks. Glad I got my replacement 715 in time before they stopped production. Though I think I got a blem model based on the finish on the front of the crane. Ah well. Looks and shoot great.

It's done now - CZ bought Colt. It should be interesting to see what happens with both brands as to if they compete certain models.

Wonder if they will shut down Colt's revolver production too?
I'm thinking they will continue the Colt revolvers, it's their heritage. They'll improve quality and the prices will hold.
How they compete their 1911 lines now between Dan Wesson and Colt, that is going to be interesting.

CZ tried to introduce their own CZ branded M1911a1 pistol recently. It didn't have the precision of the DW offerings at the time.
I recently saw a DW M1911a1 at a lower price point that was definitely fitted looser than the almost custom quality DW pistols I acquired in 2012 and 2013. I don't like that kind of brand pollution. It's ultimately destructive to a company.
If I were to speculate, CZ will leverage the Colt brand name, and consolidate M1911a1 production, updating manufacturing technology, possibly consolidating the manufacturing operations, and keeping DW as a premium semi-custom producer.
Since the M4 and related Stoner platform M4, M16 and M60 series rifles can be acquired from a number of US based manufacturers I wouldn't expect this aspect of Colt to hold up the sale.
