This from the Christian Science Monitor seems to be a pretty balanced take on "Mass Shootings". I don't agree with all of it, but there are interesting comments on how media sensationalism feeds the frenzy and the role that armed and alert citizens might play.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

How do they get 355 mass shootings in 2015? 355 victims maybe, but not that many separate incidents! And Newton was in 2012!

Overall though, it is a common sense article. I am glad to hear more Sheriff's in other states who are advocating gun ownership of good citizens, this week.

On a similar note, my Fiancee found this today......

"by unofficial accounts".

By FBI's own statistics, over all violent crime and even "mass Shootings" is down from 15-20 years ago.

What is escalating is political and media attention as they stir the pot.

Notice POTUS' main solution for a muslim terror attack is not to attack the source but, to disarm the American citizenry.

I rtead a few days ago (I don't remember where) that ATF considers a shooting a "mass" shooting if the number shot was more than three. The FBI says three or more. That is where they get the 355 mass shooting this year alone. So you have  drive bye and 3 people are wounded no matter how slight and you have a mass shooting. Take that for what it's worth.

Edit to add: I just found this on the America 1st Freedom site. Might help a little.
