And I am CERTAIN that you will all agree that I am just the (stupid) person to do so!
Our "Government" now urges citizens to carry Noloxone to counter the affects of drug overdose that may occur with those around us.
And is now actively pursuing disallowing law abiding citizens from possessing firearms to protect themselves in the home, workplace, and in the normal pursuit of everyday life?
So I will carry a medication that I can administer to anyone that I think needs it (even a complete stranger) but I may become a convicted felon if I possess a firearm, much less actually use it, even in the privacy of my own home?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

It's actually a SAD world.
Don't get me wrong, I support background checks 100%. I accept that I must show my Carry Permit (or a current hunting license, or "ammunition permit") to buy ammunition. I don't understand, want, or need bump stocks.
My wife got her Carry Permit at our son's urging. Does not and will not Carry, doesn't like it when I do. Bought and owns one gun, a Ruger SR 22, very rarely shoots it. "I'm not planning to ever carry a gun, but no one can ever tell me I can't".
And of course, she has ready access a variety of guns, including an Evil Black Rifle.
Maybe even a pathetic world?

I do not have a Carry Permit but think everyone should have the right. I would not want to get into all the legal trouble if you were to help out in a public situation. If someone comes into my home that is different, then there are still problems.
The Noloxone thing help save someones life who is a chronic user and may just repeat at a latter date, I probably would help out as we all would but I am not going to buy the drug myself to carry it. What are the legal ramifications if the person dies anyhow?
The world seems upside down to me really crazy agreed!

It would be interesting to know how many of our members have CCPs or the local equivalent... but in this day of gathering intrusive knowledge I truly oppose gathering such.
And I will seriously think about intervening in any situation in which I am not personally involved...be it syringe or weapon.
Many years ago when Desert Eagles were relatively unknown, a thieving punk got his hands on one and decided to go into the armed robbery business. He chose a popular dining spot with a cashier near the door. By all accounts (to my recollection at least) everyone cooperated...but the punk couldn't resist the temptation of murder as well and four died as a result.
He is now in prison and hopefully Bubba's close personal friend. And every single time I pass near the eatery (which is still in business today) I ask myself what I would have done. I learned in Vietnam that you never really know until SHTF.

When I first met my wife, she knew I was a target shooter, as well as both of my parents. She was not interested in participation. No problem. Unfortunately, one day, she & here mom were driving and were carjacked (kidnapped for a better word). They made their escape, safely.
That night she said to me "If I had a gun I would have shot the MF bastard".
She has been an excellent shot since then.
Think about what I shared with you folks. It can happen.
If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
