On the left 38 Super and 10mm on the right, and both are very accurate. The 38 Super is a dream to shoot, low recoil and lot cheaper to shoot then the over rated 45ACP round.

Nice pair.  I like my PM-9 too in regards to recoil.  It's a sweetie pie.  What material are the stocks made of?

Very pretty.

WOW! I do not know what else to say. Awesome pistols.

I hope you consider entering a pic of those two for the calendar this year.

Jody will start a thread when he's ready to collect submissions; it'll probably be pretty soon.

Waldo Pepper said
 the over rated 45ACP round.

Not to be confrontational, but how is .45 ACP "over rated"?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I've over rated my Kimber, Dan, Para, and Colt many times.  The paper just doesn't seem to show what my brain and finger are telling the gun...

It's over rated by me mostly just to harass 45ACP owners who get touchy when picked on by 10mm and 38 Super freaks like me that like a round that has greater range, velocity and kinetic energy then 45acp. wow

But it's what I carried and used for about 30 years, till I learned of something better. My 38 Super CCW Colt LWC is loaded with 125gr XTP and it is running about 1400fps while my Colt DE & Kimber 10mm are running a 200gr XTP at about 1350 only due to limits of Colt chamber not being as well supported as the Kimber TLE/RL that's the bedroom gun.

The 38 ACP (later called the Super when Colt introduced it in the 1911 style pistol in 1928) is the most under rated round in US history of the gun I do believe. When introduced in 1929 the factory load was 1190fps with 408# muzzle energy with 130gr ball ammo. Sometime in early 1930's after Colt 1911 version had came out the ammo was bumped up to 1300fps and 1200fps to 1300fps is still standard factory speed today for 130gr ammo.

With advent of better cases over the years for guns the 28 Super (aka 38ACP) 1300fps is easily surpassed, I heard that 130gr can hit the 1500fps plus range.

I sure like my over rated 45ACP.laugh But I'd also love to get a 10mm one of these days.

Good looking pair, thanks for showing them off!drool

I liked my 1911 45's but hated the recoil snap that started bothering my wrist, it quit with the 10mm and 38 Super, other wise I would probably still be shooting 45ACP.
