Bought it new. Then went through a period when 10 mm ammo was scarce. I called Dan Wesson, he suggested a stainless S&W .40 caliber barrel and spring and said the 40's might feed off the 10mm mags or if not to buy a .40 mag. I was lucky as the 40's fed and extracted perfectly from my 10mm mags. I haven't used that barrel in years. It is hard to describe the accuracy of this 1911. I swear l point it and it hits the target ever time.
I know a dealer that likes to search for specific guns. He found this Pointman for me then and recently found a NOS Blackhawk in .30 carbine for me!
My question is: on my barrel is: 10mm Match Are all the Dan Wesson
1911's match grade?July 2, 2019
Not sure if you're specifically referring to the Pointman or not, but the barrel on my Guardian is stamped "Match." It also has the caliber stamped on it. Not sure if it's marked on the box label; I purchased it used and while it came with the box, the previous owner pealed the sticker off and tossed it.
