Dan Wesson Arms was a relatively unknown gunmaker in the early 1980's. Handgun silhouette competition, arguably, made them more of a household name. Their innovative designs and outstanding accuracy caused many shooters to turn to their revolvers in their quest for winning scores.
This article, from the July 1984 issue of Shooting Times, is what got me into handgun silhouette competition. After reading this article, it sounded like something I could enjoy. The next year found me moving to Indianapolis, where there was a range 4 miles away that held .22 IHMSA matches. Once I tried it I was hooked.
Many shooters still haven't heard of silhouette, or know much about it, so I thought this would give them an idea. There are several mentions of Dan Wesson guns here. Hope you enjoy it.
