Hello,

A friend gave me a nice box of mixed parts. These three front sights seem unusual.  Does anyone know what they are ?

Looks like the middle one was some sort of silhouette special edition from the ram cut out.  The first one just looks like a ribbed ramp sight blade, the last one ???????  I have no idea.  Any markings as to who made them?

Scorpio, There are no markings on them. The RAM is really detailed...even to its gender. The top sight has a pinned base not the usual  base as the other two ?  Is it an older style DW or a Smith Wesson. I doubt my friend has anything but Dan Wesson parts.

Thanks

Wonder if that first one is off 11/12?  I don't really know what those sights look like.

Sight #1

After the Pork chop era the front sights were pinned, this was before the removable colored sights these were only made for a short time.

Also the compensated barrels use a pinned sight like this.

Dan fan is correct. Up until about serial number 10,000 the front sights were pinned and not easily interchangable. I have seen the bottom ones before. They are DW but don't know if they are factory. Maybe someone has turned a ramp into a Patridge style. A little bit of red nail Polish would work good. Or a tiny dot of gold foil and you would have a gold bead. I love them.
