In the box with a recent purchase, I found some Dan Wesson company business cards with the names of two different people.  Norb Yelle and Jim Saddlemire.

Jim Saddlemire's card says *USN Double Dist* under his name.

Anybody have any background info on who these guys are/were at DW?  Gun is a Palmer 15-2 3" FB.

I just found it curious that they would be in the factory box.  The original owner kept EVERYTHING with the gun including the manual, some Dan Wesson company literature and the original sales receipt from 1996!

Also has a UPS return label, looks like he sent it back to Norwich for service once and included it with the rest of the info.

I also found this Dan Wesson Newsletter dated January 16,1997, it appears to be the very first issue! It's in pristine condition.  Did anybody receive these back in the day?  I know I never did.  I only found out DW was back when I read an article in a gun magazine back in the late 90's.

Sorry about the sideways pic, I fixed it but now can't delete the sideways version. (deleted it.. Ron)

Ron I must be slipping, every time I tried to delete it, they all went away.

Scorpio, thanks so much for taking the time to photograph & post this info! I have moved this thread to the DW History area of the forum, for posterity & ease of reference. smile

Today as I was digging through my box of DW related magazines, I came across these Norwich "catalog update" pages that I found on Ebay a few years ago & stashed in the box. While it's not officially dated, it does say on the first page "DW 1998 Enhancements"...close enough for me. smile

The yellow & orange pages are just the average exploded views on the small frame/large frame guns, with related part numbers on the back. Not terribly new info there, so I didn't scan those.

Here are scans of the other info...
