BEHOLD !!! A rare DW item..

Forum member Gary J just joined up and had this ring as his Sig pic.  This ring has some history to it which I'll give in detail after the pics...

Well, a few years ago (Pre DWF I believe), this ring appeared on an auction site.  I, Gary J, and a few others from the DWF were all bidding on it, but none of us were able to win it.  It is the only one I have ever seen.

If you have this ring, or know any details about it, please contact us here at the DWF.

OK, I haven't seen this one before. A yellow barrel wrench. Image Enlarger

Swiped the picture off GB today. It may not be rare I just don't remember seeing a yellow one before.

So you're the one. smile

All 3 of my .22 caliber wrenches are yellow.  I almost bid on that just to have another .22 caliber wrench, but then I only have 3 .22's.

No I only swiped the pic. I already have two 22s, not that it is a reason not to buy another. Lack of operating capital is the reason I don't buy another.

I was going through some DW stuff today and noticed some interesting changes...

First is the .006 feeler gauge that comes with every DW (except the SM's)...  All the ones I have ever seen were of the stainless feeler gauge variety.  Today I noticed I have one that is all aluminum--  top is standard, bottom is the aluminum one.

Then I was sorting some DW external nut wrenches... anybody ever see one with a DW logo on it...  First one I have ever seen.

That's all for now...

The DW Pacs are fairly rare and generaly have a lot of interest on an auction.

Any idea what was on the other side of the ring?  Opposite the side of the revolver?  Any other pics or angles of the ring?  I don't even wear my wedding ring, but I think I would sport that ring on occasion.

Do you think this coupon is still worth $10 or has it increased in value along with the Barrels it was designed to discount?

Looks like the "Congrats you just bought a Dan Wesson Super Mag" letter that came in the box of this 10" .357 Super Mag is dated April, 1 1983...cool date...April 1st.  Serial # on Box is a match to the gun.

I will be posting more picks of this fine firearm and the contents of the box being that I think they are neat soon.  I think the coupon is cool and as I looked through the Advertisements Page on this site, I came across a Super Mag Add from 1984 that explains a $10 coupon will come in each box toward the purchase of a new barrel.  Cool stuff if you like the additional artifacts of the DW revolvers.

https://www.danwessonforum.com/supporters/advertisements/#

Hope you can see this add.
