The gentlemen that I purchased all the gun magazines featuring Dan Wesson guns also sent me an old copy of “The Silhouette Shopper”. It has some interest information about prices and also has some interesting information about the Silhouette version of the Model 22 and 722. Also included is a black and white photo of Elgin T. Gates holding a prototype of the 445 SuperMag.

I wish those prices & availability were still around today.
It says that "The Silhouette" had a contract with DW for some .357 & .375 SM guns, I assume that's how IHMSA members were able to have their membership numbers as part of the serial number. Pretty neat, I must say.
I see we have to thank Robert Gates for having a 10" DW .22 available for the rest of us mere mortals. Funny story.

That is true, Elgin contracted with several manufacturers so that silhouette shooters could have ready access to guns and equipment needed for the sport. I have all the old IHMSA papers, and it tends to make one cry when he sees those great old prices.
