Not really sure about the date, but as far as value is concerned, condition always determines value! Depending on the configuration and condition, if it is mint and being a Norwich gun it could possibly bring north of $3k at auction. Just curious, what is the significance of the date? Post up some pics so we can see it!

Very nice 7414 you have there. The second pic doesn't quite show clearly but it looks like you have a First Issue from Norwich. That would be one of the earlier guns from after Bob Serva took over the company and also places it before CZ acquired DW. I'd GUESS a date around 2000 +/- for vintage on that gun. The serial numer registry would be a good place for more info. Is that an "A" in the serial number or an upside down "Y" I've never seen a letter suffix on a revolver. The upside down "Y" was added to the end of serial number to denote a 'blem'.

If that's an A at the end of the s/n, it may be a special number requested by the original owner.
I agree on the date too, 2000 to maybe the '03 range? Looks like it's a pre-CZ gun, so that should be close. You could contact DW directly & they could probably nail the date down to an exact day, since they still have their records.

I have seen DWs with an A on the end of the SN. Usually there will be a matched pair of revolvers with the same SN but an A and B on the end. I do not know if that is what occurred here though.

The plot thickens lol. Hope to hear a resolution to this mystery. All the unique idiosyncrasies with Dan Wesson revolvers make my worse by the minute.
