Can a regular DW .357 barrel be used on a DW .357 Max SuperMag?

Something tells me no, as I believe the larger frame of the SuperMag probably has different threads.

What say you.

No, the two are not even close in size.  The 357 mag is a small frame gun, the Supermags are on the Supermag frame and as such take a much larger barrel.  The 357SM is a much larger diameter barrel with different threads, there is no physical way the two can be interchanged.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Not to sound like a smarta**, but if you stop and think about it for second, take .357 out of the equation. Just the wording Magnum to Supermagnum is a description that they did something major league different! wow

if you find one...what's your plan?

Here's a barrel comparison between the two. Supermag on the left, Mag on the right. They do NOT interchange, as you can see.wink

I don't own a small frame .357….I only have a SuperMag .357 Max, so I wasn't sure. But thanks for clearing that up. A lot more meat on the Supermag barrel for sure.

Thanks for the pics Charger Fan, you know what they say..a picture is worth a thousand words.http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_206.gif
