I was just thinking can I swap out my 6" .44 mag shroud with my 6" .41mag shroud. One is heavy and the other is not. Has EWK made any .41 barrels in the past? i would like to have an 8" barrel for my .41 mag. Thanks guy! And Happy New Year!!!

Shrouds should swap no problem.  I don't know if Eric has made any 41 mag barrels.  Shoot him a PM and ask.

EWK, has not set up for 41 as of yet.  357, 22, and soon maybe 44.  At least last report i had!

Good morning

I routinely swap shrouds on like frame revolvers.  I am little concerned what the shroud says just so the ammo fits the cylinder.

Especially like to swap the shrouds (somewhat ugly also) that have the scope mounts attached.  Makes for a quick and easy scope mount job.  If you get into the habit of recording your scope settings it makes a re-zero much faster and ammo freindly.

Thanks guys for the reply. Sometimes what makes sense to me doesn't always make sense to others or it doesn't work the way I think. I want to try putting my 445 compensated SM heavy barrel shroud on my .41.  The SM has a 6" barrel with almost an 8 inch shroud. I'll post a pic if that works ok. Maybe its just me but those .41 mags shoot great.

I don't think that particular swap will work, as those are different sized frames.  Looking forward to see what happens.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Sorry guys for the late response. I finally tried to swap out the shrouds. Here's the pics. It can work if you pull the top pin from the .41 mag frame.

Now i gotta check a 41 to see if it has the top pin! You could always send the shroud to EWK and have the 1/4" milled so as to fit the big boy!  Watch EWK as new and improved stuff coming soon for the large frame!  all i can say!!!  I am sure at some point he will be in production of 41, I am thinking also in the 357sm style!
