With these kind if numbers it is obvious I will never be able to complete my collection. OH well someone got a nice DW.

I'm curious, are these 414's fetching this kind of money because of the rarity ,
or is there something very special about that caliber?
I'm a big DW fan, but I think that is a crazy stupid price for it.

The caliber is more rare and the ETG sn combo. is the factor, IMO and just a little

There were only 25 or so of them made in Palmer prior to DW being bought by Bob Serva. Add that to the rare caliber, ETG serial number and you have your answer.

Seems odd if they only made 25 that this 414 is Serial Number 51.

They didn't start with #1 but I think 25 or 26. Don't ask me, do a search, it's been discussed here several times.

IIRC, Randy Gates told me they started with #26 and skipped a few digits along the way as he knew of a #53, I think he owned it.
