Many of you have probably seen my 445 SuperMag AGS? S/N 000001

Nobody has seen it like this cool

I picked up this barrel assembly a few years ago.  It was blued and never used.  I finally got around to having my local shop recoat it to match.  My unique gun has become even more so.  What was a solid woods gun can now pull double duty during hunting season.

Total cost was $60.  I dropped it off on Saturday and picked it up this afternoon. I'm extremely happy. The color and texture matches the original coating perfectly.  If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was a factory finish.

I'm torn between using this and my Model 40 this upcoming deer season.

Looking good. Your old man told me about it. I think it gave him the refinishing bug.

Use that bad boy on some big old porkers! That's the plan for my 7445!

To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:

if you find one...what's your plan?

Very nice! You should consider taking a couple pics to submit to the calendar contest, your AGS would be awesome on the calendar.

Looks nice- the 445SM is one of my hunting choices; you'd do fine in taking it.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

That turned out looking really nice! Now you'll need to build a Pistol Pac case to keep everything together...big-grin

That's very cool looking!  That baby would look nice in a pelican case.

Good idea! I have one sitting around that would fit it with the factory BA on, and have the 8VH next to it.

Now if only I knew where I put the foam for that case...

I remember the day "we" bought this gun. Andrew was home on leave after his deployment in the NAG, we visited my favorite DW Honey Hole. We walked in and one of the guys that knows me well said "this just came in, you gotta see it". They had originally sold this gun new to the guy who never shot it and traded it in.

I spotted the #1 S/N and said "Holy Crap". He pulled out his wallet and said "Buyin' It"

Strictly speaking I am the second owner, he is the third.

AND less than a week later, the mailman delivered .445 brass from Jody, so the "unfired" status changed pretty quickly.

One of my favorite pictures, #1 with a rock from the berm, split on the day it "lost it's virginity" at Blue Trails in Wallingford, CT.

The stand is an LB Custom

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
