Looking good!
I'm relatively new to DWs but that stainless has kinda grown on me. I can tell that I'll be needing a Seven-something or other at some point. Right now, I'm at entry-level 14s and 15s.
Both of my DWs are Monson builds, and I've read all about the Monson this and that, but, beyond the internet hype, what is the skinny on the Norwich or Palmer guns? I've still got to think that they're way past being a step above a stick!
VERY nice .41 ! I've been looking for classy guns and I think that one definitely has it!

Nice trade, Harly. What model is PP No.2?

OK, here goes: Monson guns are the original guns so a lot of us prefer them.
Palmer guns receive a largely undeserved bad rap because the Palmer plant had QC issues. However, DW willingly and without charge repaired all the guns that were returned to them with QC issues. Therefore, any Palmer gun you find is probably just fine because if there were any issues they have most likely been addressed.
Norwich guns are probably the best for quality of fit, finish, and assembly.
Both the Monson and Palmer guns suffer from cylinders which are not totally flat on the front. This requires very carefully setting the cylinder gap at the tightest cylinder position.
Hope this answers your question.
