Nice lookin pistol. Have you shot it yet?
BTW, How do you like those speed-loaders? I was looking at those, but there isn't allot of info out there that I've found from end-users.
Of course! My dad bought it back in '89 or '90 when I was 6 or so... I've been shooting it since then.
I haven't used the new 8 and 6 inch barrels yet, looking forward to that. I love the speedloaders. They are the twist variety and are made really well. They look good too.

Beautiful pics. Hey occbrian, could you tell me who makes those speedloaders. I would love to get a set for my 744. Thanks
5 Star Firearms... hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by linking.

Thank you occbrian for the information. Could you tell me if you have used them and were there any problems with the rounds dropping into the the cylinders? Just want to make sure they work OK before I buy them. Thanks again for your quick reply and all your help.
I've *used* them as in, I've loaded them up and practiced loading my Dan with them. I haven't went to the range or went shooting with them yet.
They are very well built. They aren't something I'd carry if you are into putting speedloaders on your person.
I think they are more for range use or for your bedside. Having said that, they are very well built and I don't think you'd have any issues (accidentally dumping). YMMV.

I don't use speedloaders very often, when I do the biggest problem for me is grip clearance (on a 15-2). The combination of the larger frame size on a 44/744 and the slimmer profile of the 5 Star speedloaders looks like a real winner.
And they are still gorgeous!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
