I have been looking for a 44 magnum fixed barrel for a while. They seem rare I never see the 44 magnums. This one showed up 3 weeks ago on BG but at $1250 it was too high. I messaged him and got it for $850 off site no tax $50 shipping. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I guess this is a 744-3HF ? All hail fixed barrel Dan's! I would like to pick up a 44 in blue! Beautiful Palmer blue!

Congrats Stan, nice buy! I was watching that one on it's first round, but couldn't make myself pull the trigger on the $1250 price. Then when it instantly ended on round #2, I figured someone talked the seller into an off GB sale. 
It looks like it's in pretty nice shape!

You know, that's a good question. I don't recall seeing any literature so far telling what the actual model name was assigned for the FB guns. The label on my 715FB has what looks like a hand written "R1" on it...or maybe "RI"? Beats me. 
Possibly it's talked about in magazine articles of the day, when I have time I will look. Maybe others here can show their labels, to see if they are similar to mine.
