My Dad has a .445 SuperMag in stainless that needs repair. When we had it out shooting last time it was spitting from the barrel cylinder gap and there were small pieces of shaved jacket lying in the forcing cone. The cylinder is hard to rotate at times too. I think the timing is off and needs repair. Anyone have a good Dan Wesson gunsmith recommendation for this type of work or is the factory the best bet?

If you can find a gunsmith near you who is experienced with Dan Wessons then I would consider taking it to him/her.
Otherwise I would definitely send it to the factory. Be sure you contact Dan Wesson and not CZ.
On the other hand, if you or your dad are mechanically inclined you could try disassembling it to see if there is an easy fix like a broken hand spring, or something similar. Check this link to a forum post in Reloading, Gunsmithing and Grip Making section to see if you want to attempt this yourself.

DW's are really easy to work on with uncomplicated workings. The problem could be obvious once you get it apart.
Good luck.

If you are interested in sending in your gun to Dan Wesson for service work, go to the link below and enter pertinent information. They will then email a conformation letter with the RMA # for your case. Include this # on your package with a letter stating what you want done and add all of your contact info.
