Well after being lost in a snowstorm in Cleveland for a week I finally picked up the First Issue 45 Colt PAC! Thanks DakotaJack for providing the case I was able to make a few modifications to it and the 45 Colt fits perfect! I took the manual from another First Issue I  have as I think it is more important to have the PAC complete! No bullet keychain with it like my other First Issue Pac maybe someday I will find one. I assume this has to be a pretty rare Pac I was lucky to get it. Still waiting for my other First Issue 7445 to be shipped will post some pics of it and the 744 First Issue 10VH also when it gets here. Anyway I was not planning on buying any other guns but when you have a chance to get the rare ones I have to go for it though I have spent way too much as of late so no bids on the 360++ will be coming! Lots of nice guns keep showing up on GB I just listed a 445 10VH Supermag on GI feel free to make an offer if interested. I also think i'm going to maybe sell the Deer Hunter also (NIB with tags) it's a Norwich gun I have to keep the collection under 30 guns. Again my motto is "less is more now"! If I buy a rare gun I will try to sell one of my other less rare guns to keep the $$$$ coming in to buy the more desirable Dan's! Still looking for a 2018 50th Anniversary also! Last pics are of the 445 for sale and possible Deer Hunter (no manual included)! Click on pics to see them larger! Also the 50th i'm looking for!IMG_6944.JPGImage Enlarger

Very nice pack!  Unfluted as well. I don't recall ever having seen a complete 45LC pack before.

That's a really nice pack and I'm glad the case worked out for you.  I see you enlarged the cutout to fit the large frame revolver and it looks nice - I knew you are good with the inserts and you'd do a good job.  What about the slots for the barrels.....were you able to drop the large barrels in there without any problem?  The cutouts were fairly snug to small frame barrels and I wondered about that.

I see one flaw in the case.  I have to manually cut the slot for the lid hinge, and I see it's below the blue material and exposes the brown surface of the case.  I'd pull the foam out and blacken that area with a marker or glue a piece of black material in there so it blends in.

You've got a nice one there that most wish they had.

The other guns you have there are nice as well.

Thanks Dakotajack I will look into it. The barrels fit just fine. Really did not have to do much cutting at all. Had to cut the foam under the barrel so it holds the gun barrel up in the right position and had to cut a bit around the grip and trigger but again not much. Trimmed the hole where the barrel nut tool goes. Easy pizzy! What a beautiful PAC I wonder if they ever made another 45 Colt PAC or is this the only one? 728 I was posting a pic of the 50th anniversary as a wanted shout out Incase a member has one to sell of trade! That's about the only thing on my wanted list right now. I have given up on a 360++ or a 414 or 7414 as I think they just don't have a good cost vs return as a collector gun. I would much rather invest in a 715 First Issue Pac at a price range of $4800 vs a 360++ or 414 at around the same price or more!

Not sure i follow your logic here Stan.  Can you expand on that?   Why would a 715 FI pac be more collectable than a 360, 414 at the same price? There are bound to be more 715 FI's out there than 414, 360 or 460 for that matter.  Given the limited number of the latter guns built, I'd rather have one of them than a 715, especially for 5k.

I believe Stan is referring to a 715 First Issue Pistol Pack II of which less than twenty were produced.  I have one left of the First Issue Pistol Pack II which is complete and I would not sell it for less than 7K Minimum.  At one point in time, I had three 715 First Issue Pistol Pack II's but sold the other two to Forum members.

There is another member that I know of who has two 715 First Issue Pistol Pack II's so that accounts for five of them.

Ok, that makes some sense, but with so few in existence and most accounted for, the probability of one coming available is slim.  Unless you plan to cut yours loose 😉

Post the auction here, THAT is one I'd like to follow.  It'll make the 7360 look run of the mill.

The last 7414 i saw sell belonged to a member, had 2 barrels and was a FI. I believe it fetched over 5k about 3 years ago.

I think (and this is my own thoughts)  that the prices of the 7414, 414, 360++ or 760++ (not sure if they are even made) and a few others are not worth that much. Who really knows I think a PAC in a case with 4 barrels that are so rare should be a head of a single gun (That does not even have a box) I could see if it was new in original box but this is just me. It's true the real test is what the market will bring. The only thing that skews this is bidder or bidders that get into a bidding war and drives up the price. Nothing can stop that! also depends on if the bidders have deep pockets. When money is no object then the real price is out the window! I guess that is what makes auctions so crazy sometimes! Anyway i'm no expert and i'm just throwing my own thoughts that I personally think I would not lay out that much. I guess I look at how much the first issue 7445's have been going for also. There were not that many of them made either yet they run 40% to 50% lower. I remember two weeks ago I was watching one of the car auctions and the Porsche racing Gulf car that Steve McQueen had in his collection which is owned by Jerry Seinfeld owns the bid went to 26 million and that was not enough to buy it! Crazy! At least guns are a metal thing you can use unlike a autograph that can be faked or same as a painting! Now that's some stuff that I would never invest in. I like just starting a conversation about it and seeing what others think! It comes down to how much someone will pay and how someone will sell it for! It's hard with things that are so rare and few of them. There is no  baseline to go off of. Also If i'm going to invest $$$$ in a expensive Dan I want a original box with manual and paperwork! That to me is a must if the gun is over $1500! I was looking at an auction on Rock Island of a Winchester 1894 I think it was still in original wood box it had been in a attic for over 100 years! Boy I wish I had that kind of money! Just the story was so good let alone the gun! It even came with 5 boxes of original ammo!Screenshot-2025-02-14-4.57.08-PM.pngImage Enlarger

There was Tom's 7414VH10 + an 8" sold for $5050.00 on 02/15/2023, and on 7/10/24, there was Steve D's 414VH6FE for $4269(?) listed sold on GI

I was referring to that first one, belonged  to a local friend of mine and member of the forum.

I like pacs, but most Dan's wernt sold as such.  I know that makes them more rare, but I find I don't switch barrels often, I shoot the barrel I like best and the rest sit in the case.

I don't know if the 360, 460 414 etc were ever even offered as a pac, other than having a second shroud, ie one scoped, one not.  I suppose you could have ordered one if so inclined.  Back in the Serva years, I think he'd do just about anything you wanted...for a price.

Bob Serva was a nice guy to deal with, at least every time I spoke with him, very helpful.

I'm so glad I got my 'exotics' back in the day when a common man could afford a few and be able to shoot them.

A today's prices, I couldn't bring myself to fire  them.

That's a real beauty! Love that unfluted laser treated cylinder.

One of my 7460's has that as well.  Unfortunately, it's not a PP II but does have several barrels.

I seem to remember hearing of a 7360 hunter pac or PP II at a local show.  It was gone by the time I got there.  I'll Probably never see another one.

Ok that's a gun I would throw the kitchen sink at but I do have a few questions. Why the barrel is marked "MHF" but the serial number is not marked "415" also the cylinder looks to have some damage towards the back not sure what happened there. Cool is the compensated barrel! I noticed it looks like all the good stuff like patch, manual ect... I also noticed it's in the square case vs the rectangular one. As I looked at the brochure the square one was for the Hunter PAC so I wonder if it started as a Hunter PAC and as you said you could order about anything you want. I noticed it is tapped and drilled and has a base already on the compensated barrel so I believe this was a Hunter PAC with an extra barrel added! Also has the reflex sight which you also see in the brochure! I bet this would fetch a bunch of money is the 7460 also very rare? As rare as a 7414 and a 7360++ ? Check out the accessories bottom left the Hunter PAC came with different sight bases and of course the cartridge keychain! Sorry about some of these pics i'm taking a pic of the 2002 brochure! My favorite brochure!IMG_6966.JPGImage Enlarger

My understanding was back then if you ordered a revolver or pistol pack for a price you could customize the serial number including using your initials.  Most likely this was a customized order.

I believe it is a Hunter Pack.
