You absolutelly have to get another DW for a shooter if your going to keep this one pristine. They are the greatest revolver shooting experience you'll be missing.... Since you are now aquainted with Gunbroker, more DW's are just a click away . In case your wondering has no cure other than to feed it more..

I have picked up the 10" stainless barrel. It is not a VH but a 744V barrel.
Question: Did DW make a VH 10" stainless?
I figure with the 10" non-heavy and a scope, the weight should be good in the handling/control.
I'll post a pic soon. The barrel is absolutely beautifull. Unfired New Old Stock.

Here is the 10" 744V. On the right. I wanted to show the HK93 and threw in an Iver Johnson M1 Carbine Stainless I picked up at the same time. I'm curious at your last post Zundfolge. You say the HK's normally dent the brass? I thought when I took it all apart to clean it I may have caused the denting problem. BTW. I was gifted the Iver.

Everybody I know that owns a G3 pattern rifle complains about dented brass. I believe the issue is the fluted chamber (which aids in extraction but damages the brass) So you didn't damage anything.

I'm not mad at ya DWA!
I knew that barrel was an absolute must. I just (and it seems you saw it) knew I could easily start another addiction to these firearms. And, yes I look at your links and drool.
However, I keep looking at CF's 445 Super pics and get a little dry mouthed (which is far worse than a drooling problem...) I see pics of DW's won at competition events on this forum that get offers of multiple pistol packs/porkchops...etc. I see those non-fluted stainless DW revolvers and just grin with wanton desire!
Yeah! I could get infected real bad...
So, where can I find out more about those 445 SuperMags?

Thanks Dave! And yes Blacktop. It's true…
Picked this up recently.
Costco had this safe on sale. $570, no tax free shipping. Not a bad deal. Weighs 400# so is manageable in getting in the house. And isn't a ton on wood floors. Door shuts nice and tight. Finish is nice.
Oh, I watched a beautifull 445 supermag stainless (fluted) go by on GB. MAN! If I had an FFL I would have snapped that up. (probably why I haven't got an FFL yet). About broke my heart!

Nice Matt !
Just a note, I believe most people worry about the weight of large
safes, take in consideration how much the bottom of the safe
makes contact with the floor, then look at a filled deep freezer or large
loaded refrigerator or better yet a washing machine that uses 30-50
gallons of water per cycle, each of these items usually are setting
on those little 2 inch screw out feet. The psi factor would be much
less on the safe.

That DW just HAS to be shot. They are too nice and too accurate to just leave in the safe. Half of my Dan Wessons were bought new, and despite the pristine condition, I bought them to shoot. Even a brand new 1 of 25 .414 SuperMag has been shot and still is. I view scratches as "battle scars", even though I HATE to get them and am very careful.
Gunbroker is an addiction, especially the Buy It Now option on something with a great price. You could have gotten the .445 SuperMag without having a personal FFL...it just needs to be shipped to an FFL near you for a small fee.
