I bought this gun in 1990. Serial # ETG445S099. It turns out to have smaller
than .429 chamber throats, a situation I intend to fix before firing it again. I always
did have pressure problems especially with converted rifle brass that is a lot
heavier duty than pistol brass. Now I think I know why. Took me long enough to
figure it out. Notice the brass is converted 30/40 Krag. That was a project.

Thanks guys. It's in pretty much pristine condition due to the last factory visit.
I hope to keep it that way and shoot it more smartly than I did 20 years ago.
Getting some Starline brass at this moment. I still have some W680 but may move
to a slightly faster powder like W296. When W680 was discontinued, a guy showed
up at the gun club with 10 pounds. I bought it all. I have 5 left. If I can still smell
ether I will use it. I am using Unique and W296 from 20 years ago and it works fine.
I call this shot "liberal nightmare". Fondling a few guns with a teacup full of Kentucky's
finest. 2 Smith's, A Ruger, and the DW.

I have always wondered how many guns were made in that batch, initially
guessing 100. Not too many folks have one with the ETG serial. Your statement
tells me there were probably at least 200 made. Am I right in assuming the IMHSA
ones were first, then the ETG run, then they went to the regular serial model?

That part I don't know yet, nor am I willing to wager an educated guess at this point in time. I have a hunch that you may be right, but nothing substantial to back it up.
Thanks for posting another pic of yours, I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing these beauties. Here's another semi-glamour shot (the old truck shell in the background killed it) of mine.
BTW, a couple decades later is better than none at all.
