Well the weather turned nice this afternoon and I had some spare time so I mounted up my new EWK 2.5 BA and went to the rang. I took along some hand loads, 10.5gn Unique under 240 LSWC I also had a few 240 XTPS running 16.8gn 2400. The 10.5 target loads were quite the 'kick' to shoot even as mild as they are in a larger barrel, they had some punch with the shorty. The 16.8gn 2400 loads were nasty. They made my hand sting after two cylinders. Roared like a cannon and produced a nice light show. Interestingly enough, I ran into a guy shooting a DW 22 and 15-2. He was intrigued by my 44, said he didn't know DW made a 2.5 in 44, I said this one is semi-custom. I told him to drop by here and also pay EWK's website a visit, hope he does.
I am very pleased with the accuracy and control with this BA even running the hotter loads. Made for some interesting looks from the other shooters when I cut loose the hotter stuff. I'd say Eric has done a great job, thanks!
BTW here is a quick pic of my target, 15 yds off hand, mix of single and double action. I didn't readjust the rear sight so I had to get used to it. The stuff off to the lower left were the first few rounds.

It does, and I must not have had the barrel nut torqued enough, when I went to clean it, the nut had loosened up a bit. So my last few cylinders were shot with a slightly loose barrel.
