This popped up on Guns International today. I made a deal of $2400 out the door including shipping. Came with 100 rounds of Dan Wesson boxed ammo and something I have never seen for sale. A original Dan Wesson holster. This short compensated barrel must be a bit rare. I can't think of using it except as a bear gun you would wear in the wild!

You are all correct in a way. I was talking about the shroud. The barrel is 2.5 I think. I was making a point about how short it is. The barrel of course is even shorter as it's compensated. What would you use this powerful gun for in this configuration for? I bet it kicks like a mule even with the comp barrel. To me he had to order it for a side arm in the wilderness to protect from bears. I don't think you would shoot it in competition. I think the correct would be 7445-2VHC?

It is a 4"barrel tube. Then the inch and a half of compensated shroud. Terrific gun. Is that the swivel Holster? I have one of them. I have never seen another but I have a brochure with them in it. $109 way back then. The ammo is worth $4 a round. Or more. Remember, it also chambers 44 Special and 44 Mag if you want to do some plinking.

The label does not say anything but 7445 Supermag. The holster i'm not sure yet as it was just shipped today. Will keep you posted when I get my hands on it! My whole reason for jumping on it was the extras. If I sell off the ammo and the holster my final cost on the gun will be more like $1800. I already have 4 boxes of the blue Dan Wesson ammo so will most likely sell it off and the holster also since I do not shoot much. When I do shoot I have another 445 I use with mostly 44 magnum. I give each nephew 6 rounds of supermg ammo to shoot when we do go out. We have not been shooting here as much as the whole desert here is ripe for a huge fire season. Se got lots of rain in Jan thru March last 3 years and the grass grew to 3 feet then the 115 degree sun bakes it into a brown crisp fire waiting to happen. I fear were in for a large fire season. We can't shoot anymore behind our house in the Tonto National Forest anymore so we have to drive 15 miles to a place that's safe though the whole state is in high fire danger for at least 4 months and no shooting is allowed almost anywhere except shooting ranges. Nobly wants to shoot in the summer anyway.

As Ole Dog mentioned above, it's a 4" barrel (tube), no more or no less. They didn't offer a 2" or 3" barrel in the .445SM but I guess a special order is always possible. The difference is the cut for the rib vent. My "later" 4" barrel shroud has double vent cuts that begin 1/8" from the end of the shroud, and end about 1/16" from the first sight pin. This shroud here has only 1 vent more centered between the end of the shroud and the sight.

Brass is sold ($190 GB) and holster sold to a member ($160) I put the prices up just for a reference also blue boxes of ammo sold ($150) so I still have 2 boxes of white box ammo for $150. Here are pics of ammo and a couple of pics I took of the gun now that it's here. The last pic is of the three first issues together! The 44 magnum and two 7445's!

My net cost will be somewhere around $1850 after selling all the extras that came with the gun! Not a bad deal for a 7445 First Issue AGS (kind of) I think now this was a guy who wanted an AGS style gun but wanted to leave it stainless steel and also wanted a First Issue! Again I still have 2 boxes of 445 white box ammo for $160 shipped!
