Hey, first post. I usually just lurk and look at the forum but I got a kick out of this and had to show you guys. I bought this blued 44 mag off gun broker last year sometime. Recently I walked into a local gun store and found a 7445 that someone traded in. To my surprise when I ask to see it and turned it over I found that not only was it a IHMSA serialed gun, it was also #22 like my 44 magnum. What are the chances, had to buy it. Moral of the story is you never know what you're going to run into out there I guess.

I had a very similar thing happen to me, purchased a stainless Monson Model 40 that ended up being an ETG serial number 36. Sometime later bought a Monson 7445 did not know it and it ended up being a IHSMA serial number 36. It is all pretty weird, never know they would be special just looking for two Stainless Super Mags!

Welcome to the forum from PA!
Pretty cool find you made. The way they added the 0 on the one gun made it serial number 022 as opposed to 22 so they aren't technically the same. I'd have grabbed it too.

Pretty neat, yep I couldn't ever split those up again. Funny how things work I would not have imagined running into someone else with the same deal

I have a pair of Monson 44 Mags, one stainless the other blue with serial numbers IHMSA 2, IHMSA S/2. They won't be split up, or sold if I can help it.

Those are all really nice finds here. I tend to like things "in order" also.....I picked up a pre-CZ Norwich 741 from an obscure classified posting a few years back. Then about a year later, I snagged another pre-CZ 741 from an online auction (not GB). When it came in I was pleased to see they're consecutive #'s. I also picked up a pair of consecutive Monson 744's in an estate sale, still remaining NIB.
