I had the camera out today so I thought I'd grab a pic of my Model 40 Pac I mentioned in another thread. Can anyone guess which BA is the Palmer?

Ooh that is a lot of shiny goin on right there! If I had to guess I would say the 10VH is the Palmer assembly but it is just a guess.
I like the color of fabric you used in your case, I am not fond of yellow even though it is factory color.

Strike one, the Palmer is not the 10VH. That fabric was in the case when I got it so I don't know who put it there or if it was factory. Its an early tan case.

Nice pac, I like the chocolate color, looks nice with the blued gun.
As to the Palmer BA, I'm gonna venture a guess and say the 6VH. Don't know why, but that one just jumped out at me. Probably cause I like the 6" BA's on the Large Framed guns.

Blindfaith nailed it, the Palmer is the 6VH. It has the best bluing of the lot. I think it may be true that Palmer had the best blue jobs of the three plants. In person, that shroud just stands out, pic wasn't the best so that made it harder to spot. That pac has all thee plants represented. The 10VH is a Norwich, the 8V and 8VS are Monson and of course the 6VH is a Palmer.
I also like the DW medallion on the Presentation grip. Most either have the Pachmyr medallions or none at all. I think I have three sets with DW medallions. I often wondered why they didn't put DW medallions on the combat grippers, I think it would look cool, but maybe thats just me.

I have seen Pachmayr Grippers with DW medallions, although I do not own one, just a Presentation grip with the DW.
