Here is a picture of my 44. I bought this a few weeks ago. I took a real skinning on this one. The barrel nut was buggered up and I bought anyway. It had a real hair trigger, new trigger return spring fixed that. I couldn't get the barrel nut off. It looks like Bubba loctited both ends on it. I could shoot it except it binds up. It'll work empty but binds when I try to fire it. It's going back for repair.

Bad as my experience has been I love the big gun. Here is a pic of my 10in with my I frame 32.

I think you can heat the gun to a certain temperature in the oven and it will melt red loctite. Somewhere between 350 and 400 I believe.
